The Catholic Charities Liberty Defense Pro Bono Project is a dynamic, first-of-its-kind statewide project in New York State. The project identifies immigration cases through community legal clinics and refers them to volunteer legal representatives, increasing statewide access to free legal services for low-income and vulnerable immigrants. Legal volunteers can review available cases and sign up to take on clients. The Pro Bono Project also has case support volunteer opportunities for non-legal volunteers, to interpret at client meetings and interviews, assist in gathering documentation, obtaining records, and more!
