The Public Law Center is a pro bono law firm that provides access to low-income residents of Orange County. Our areas of focus include helping victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, victims of serious crimes, unaccompanied minors, and immigrants who wish to apply for citizenship. Currently we are seeking volunteers to take on pro bono cases, including U-Visas, VAWAs, T-Visas and Asylum cases. We have also increased our deportation defense work and are handling bond hearings and other deportation defense cases. Volunteers do not need to have immigration experience, although it is helpful. It is also extremely helpful if volunteers either speak Spanish or have a translator they can use.
Time and Place:
Volunteers need to be present in the Santa Ana, CA office at a specific time.
Special Skills Needed:
Immigration law knowledge, but Public Law Center attorneys and staff can provide training, materials, and ongoing support so prior experience is not required.
