Saturday, January 27th marks the anniversary of when Trump signed the first Muslim Ban, and thousands of New Yorkers responded by rushing out to JFK airport in one of the most memorable acts of resistance in a year defined by protest. It was a huge moment for our country and we'll never forget what it was like to be surrounded by so much love in the face of so much hate. That's why we're marking the occasion with a Jummah prayer for our Muslim brothers and sisters, and inviting allies to join hands around those praying. Come stand in solidarity with the Muslim community and say loud and clear: No Muslim Ban Ever. The third iteration of the ban is still in effect and nationals from Iran, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, and Chad continue to be denied entry into the United States, to our great national shame. Before the prayer begins, we will hear from those who are still being effected by the ban, families torn apart, and lives put on hold.
