This 2-day training will provide practitioners with an introduction to practice in immigration court. This training is aimed at individuals seeking DOJ full accreditation and attorneys seeking to expand their practice into removal defense. The training will cover topics such as taking pleadings, challenging removal allegations, documentary and evidentiary issues, motion practice, presenting testimony, and brief writing. The training will conclude with a mock immigration court hearing providing the opportunity to observe how removal proceedings typically unfold, and to see how problems can arise and are handled. This is an advanced level training for practitioners already familiar with the basics of immigration law.
